Getting Started in Digital Imaging…
Basic image processing in Photoshop Elements
with Taylor Liebmann
This workshop costs $325. Reservations are made on receipt of full payment
Classes are limited to six participants to allow for individualized
instruction. (With more than three students we have an extra instructor.)
Personal laptop computers can be used if desired. We find
this workshop to be very useful to the new digital camera owner.
We are currently holding these classes on request for groups of three or more. We are happy to provide private instruction for one or two persons.
Getting Started in Digital Imaging with Photoshop Elements 3
Many people are finding basic digital imaging skills to be a
significant component of visual literacy and increasingly useful for
personal expression and communication. Digital Arts Aspen is pleased
to offer workshops in Adobe’s digital imaging application, Photoshop Elements 3.0. This highly acclaimed program, a less complicated (and much less expensive) version of Adobe's flagship product Photoshop CS, is directed towards the amateur photographer who wants an easier-to-learn means of processing their images.
Using our well-received “Digital Darkroom Workflow Checklist” system of
instruction, we teach at a pace personalized for each student, on
the student's personal images, acquirted from digital files or scans done at the workshop.
Schedule
The nine-hour course, meeting each morning, 9:00 -12:00 am, for three days, covers the basic digital darkroom procedures for producing well-rendered prints or images for email. The Digital Arts Aspen studio is equipped with individual workstations, scanners, printers and a digital projection system.
Participants should have Photoshop Elements 3.0 on their home computers so they can practice their new skills after each session. It is currently available from Amazon.com for about $80.
